Mayku, the London based startup, has recently appointed Express Group Ltd as their new UK distributor for the FormBox, their desktop vacuum former.
The Mayku FormBox puts the power of making in your hands. Powered by any vacuum cleaner, it works with a world of materials and helps you to make your ideas real. Whether you’re crafting by hand or partnering with your 3D printer, the FormBox is your very own desktop production line.
“We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to distribute the Mayku FormBox in the UK and Ireland markets,” said James Blackburn, Sales Director at Express Group. “As well as being a UK reseller, we were already fulfilling their repair work, adding distribution now means we can offer a total solution for Mayku.”
The FormBox is the ideal sidekick for a 3D printer. 3D print what you would like to cast, then place it in the FormBox to create a mould. From that you can create casts in a variety of materials including concrete, wax, plaster, soap, jesmonite and chocolate.
“The Formbox is a great desktop vacuum former for makers everywhere. As a company we are on a mission to help people create, make and fix so I’m delighted we are working with Mayku.”
Speaking of the partnership, Alex Smilansky, Mayku Co-Founder and CEO said: “We are thrilled to have partnered with Express Group on our UK and Ireland distribution, building on our existing servicing and repair relationship. When we founded Mayku, our goal was to bring the power of making to as wide an audience as possible. The partnership with Express Group will allow us to deliver a first-class making experience to more people than ever before.”
